KVC Kentucky has provided IMPACT Plus services for 15 years across Central, Northeastern and Eastern Kentucky. IMPACT Plus is an innovative program that provides intensive in-home and community-based services for children and their families.

How Does it Work?

Our skilled and professional masters level therapists and case managers are trained to treat children who have experienced trauma or have complex mental health needs. Team members provide services to the child and family at home, in school, and in the community.  IMPACT Plus services are individualized for each child and our team works closely with our community partners to wrap services around a child when and where they need it the most.

The IMPACT Plus program uses a service team approach to develop a collaborative care plan, which is designed to help children live successfully at home and in the community. Team members meet monthly or as frequently as needed to develop goals, interventions and put crucial support systems in place.

The IMPACT Plus program is designed to provide intensive, short term interventions that is aimed at preventing a child from being placed in out of home care and in strengthening natural and community support systems.

The IMPACT Plus program is a collaborative effort of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Departments of Medicaid Services, Community-based services, and the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities.
