2018 Resource Family Conference

KVC Kentucky’s 2018 Resource Family Conference will take place November 9th – 10th, 2018 at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa in Lexington, KY. This biannual event is an opportunity to celebrate our foster parents and nurture relationships among our foster families while providing training, support and fun activities for our youth.
The Resource Family Conference is a unique learning experience where caregivers and youth are inspired by nationally renowned keynote speakers, receive continuing education training, develop an invaluable support network and experience family fun and bonding in a relaxed setting away from home! For our kids in care and their foster siblings, it’s a fun and rare time to be “spoiled.” Youth will be treated to a variety of fun events where they can enjoy time together and just be kids! Learn more about RFC.
We are excited to announce our keynote speaker, Sheryl Woolverton, LCSW!
Sheryl is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Life Coach practicing in Lexington, Kentucky. With over 15 years of experience in palliative and end of life care with Hospice of the Bluegrass (Bluegrass Care Navigators), she has worked with hundreds of individuals and families navigating the role of caregiving. Recognizing the struggle of finding and maintaining life balance, it has become her passion to help others develop the skills to navigate a world that can become easily out of balance. She specializes in helping her clients work through life transitions; with a focus upon maintaining wellness, self care and the often elusive balance.
