Holiday Heroes Needed to Donate Gifts to Kentucky Children and Youth in Foster Care

Become a Holiday Hero with KVC Kentucky

Become a Holiday Hero!

This holiday season, KVC Kentucky is seeking Holiday Heroes to donate gifts to children and youth in foster care. Children who find themselves in foster care are victims of abuse, neglect or other family challenges. While foster families provide love and care as well as a safe place to stay, sometimes it is difficult to provide a lot of “extras” like presents during the holidays.

Providing gifts is one way individuals, families and businesses can support foster families and show children that they matter. Participants can sign up individually or as a family, church, community organization or business.

How it works:

  1. Fill out our Holiday Hero signup form. You can specify the age, gender and number of children you wish to donate gifts for.
  2. You will receive a child’s wish list which includes his or her name, age and list of items they would like. Shop for as many items on the list as you want and invite your friends to help out.
  3. Place the unwrapped gifts in a bag along with each child’s wish list and drop it off at your local KVC office.

We know the holidays are a busy time, so if you don’t have time to shop, please consider helping by making an online donation. If you have questions, please contact Kent Condor at (859) 254-1035 or kcondor@kvc.org.
