On June 22nd, KVC Kentucky concluded its fifth annual Bluegrass Wellness at Work Fitness Challenge with an award ceremony at Central Bank Thursday Night Live to honor participating companies for their dedication to workplace wellness. The challenge began on May 7th with a total of 24 registered organizations from across the state and over 4,000 participating individuals.
At the end of the five-week competition, there were nine teams who rose above the rest, taking home first, second and third place in the small, medium and large organization size category. There were some new winners this year and some re-occurring champs! (see below for full list of winners)
Bluegrass Wellness at Work is a five-week fitness challenge for Kentucky companies aimed to improve employee health in a fun, spirited competition. The challenge is designed to work hand-in-hand with each company’s current wellness program to promote healthy employees in their unique workplace. Each company or organization competes as a team against organizations of a similar size: Small <25 employees, Medium 25-99 employees and Large 100+ employees. The company that has the highest level of participation in each size is then awarded custom trophies and bragging rights as one of Kentucky’s healthiest places to work. Participants can sync their Fitbit or Garmin to the custom Bluegrass Wellness at Work App to automatically record their activity or log activity on our website!
