2018 Bluegrass Wellness at Work Winners Announced!

Workplace Wellness

On June 18th, KVC Kentucky concluded its sixth annual Bluegrass Wellness at Work Fitness Challenge with an award ceremony at West Sixth Brewing to honor participating companies for their dedication to workplace wellness. The challenge began on May 6th with a total of 19 registered organizations from across the state and over 3,000 participating individuals.

At the end of the five-week competition, there were nine teams who rose above the rest, taking home first, second and third place in the small, medium and large organization size category. There were some new winners this year and some re-occurring champs! (see below for full list of winners below)

Bluegrass Wellness at Work is a five-week fitness challenge for Kentucky companies aimed to improve employee health in a fun, spirited competition. The challenge is designed to work hand-in-hand with each company’s current wellness program to promote healthy employees in their unique workplace. Each company or organization competes as a team against organizations of a similar size and the company that has the highest level of participation is then awarded custom trophies and bragging rights as one of Kentucky’s Healthiest Places to Work!

Best of all, one hundred percent of all proceeds from the program benefit Kentucky children and families receiving behavioral healthcare services and foster care across the Commonwealth.

A huge thank you to our sponsor, KC Wellness, Inc. and our individual prize provider Sterling Hot Yoga! Your support in this challenge helps us continue to improve Kentucky’s workforce health!
